Simple Social Media Tips

A couple simple things to help you accomplish social media.

Timelines!!!!

You know they are my thing. So you have to have guessed I would use one for posting too.

I use a timeline for pretty much anything in life. Is it perfect and always problem-solving? No. But it does help to alleviate the tension of not knowing what's coming.

Set an alarm on your phone each day at the same time to respond to comments and messages. As you do this you will develop an expected trust and reliable audience. If your followers know when and where to find you they are more reliable to show up and engage. Building relationships and connections are the prescriptions for any disengagement you have received from your followers. Are you wondering why you have 1000's of followers and only a hundred or so likes? It is most likely it is because they are not engaging with you personally. The algorithm will notice that people are communicating with each other in a real way and let each of you see the other one's posts more often. So go to your followers' list, scroll down to names you haven't engaged with in a while, and start commenting on their posts.

Recycle. Recycle those posts! You do not need to post a new post on every social channel you have. It is ok to do what is called "batching." Batching allows you to plan out content and chop that piece up for all your other social pages such as IG, Linkedin, or Pinterest. No guilt. There are different followers on each base, people need to see something 7 times to remember it anyway, and best of all it gets that click funnel mentality working. Click the post to watch the full video, click the link below the video to read more in my blog, click the link in the blog to schedule a consultation. It is all in your favor to recycle.

Don't get held up with the pain of knowing whether or not anyone cares about what you have to say. That is a deep and painful hole, stay out of there. Say what you know, say what interests you, share what helps you, don't dwell on others, and don't look to compete with competitors. Be really good at your niche, don't start treading on others because most likely they aren't managing the same type of clients or audience as you are. Be bold at what you KNOW and then stay relevant. Nothing is worse than someone stuck in what they know and not willing to be relevant. On the other hand, it is just as painful to watch someone run around like a toddler on pixie sticks trying to stay current without ever really producing anything with substance because no one really knows who they are because they're always changing.

You need to define your niche.

You need to expose a concern.

You need to solve the problem.

Then you need to own being the expert in that solution.

Most importantly you need to enjoy being that person.

If 2 people don't think the information is relevant for them that look left there will be 5 more who need your expertise. Sometimes your presentation needs a tweak but mostly if there are issues in the balance of staying current or hunkering down it is that the ingredients in the recipe might need a change but sometimes it isn't ingredients it is just measurement. If we can help listen to where you are on that journey we can get you on track for being more productive. 30 min coaching consultation at clvplanners.com
